It's about time I had an epiphany. "Epiphanies? Ah, the supply of them is always vertically-challenged," a certain mountain-loving giant dorf friend of mine might say. The Muse is with me, I must act. I'm off to Nektulos -- oops, I mean, of course, 'Guk' -- to pen "The Clueless Bard: Volume Augmented" in an attempt to explain. Perhaps we'll meet there? My crystal ball is still at the mender's. Yes, yes, Muse, I'm coming... In the meantime, Good Hunting! ___ Addendum 23 September 2011

[deep breath...] OK. Question: how do you eat a nelephant? Answer: one bite at a time. There's so much stuff on this website that tidying it up (now that the effing-à problem is now -- allegedly -- fixed) has seemed an overly onerous task. I'm going to try to start dealing with it: one bite at a time. The first /bite is: Seefar Sep 11, 2010 |

I submitted a support ticket on 7July2008 and was told that the problem with these annoying 'Ã' characters was acknowledged and had been 'escalated to the development team' and that I would be notified when a fix had been achieved. Today I opened an email from Sony Support saying that the problem has finally been fixed - but for new articles only. Which means that these dreaded beasties will remain until I find the urge to recreate this entire website - not very likely, since few people have shown much interest in what I have to say here. Nothing ever seems to move out of the 'laboratory' - nobody ever gives me any feedback on whether the ideas there are good, or bad. Ho, hum. Nevertheless, I've penned another laboratory article: 'There and Back Again (a fool's-eye view of Norrath). It's riddled with those naughty 'A' characters, but I can't help that. Here's hoping someone finds it of use. Seefar Jun 2, 2009 |

The mentoring section has been updated - with a note to say that it needs updating... plus some very good news for XP-loving mentors as of Game Update #49 (7 October 2008)! Although I have spent a great deal of time mentoring, I do NOT know it all, and welcome feedback, input and discussion, especially from those more knowledgeable than myself on the topic. I would invite you to use the Guild Forums - but it seems that only members of the Guild can use these. There is a solution to this: Join Lonewolf! :D Seefar Oct 10, 2008 |

Well, well, well, who'd have ever thought it. Years of experience have proved that Queen Antonia Bayle (has anyone ever actually seen this mythical person?) is misguided. So-called 'evil' characters in Norrath display traits that any sensible soul would class as 'good' behaviour. What is 'good'? What is 'evil'? Some would say that the one cannot exist without the other. And so, an era comes to an end and another one begins: the doors of the Lonewolf guild, which have always been open to all, swing wider still. The evil barrier to promotion within the guild has been lifted, effective immediately. (signed) Seefar, Smelly Nelly, AKA 'that stubborn ass'. Seefar Oct 4, 2008 |

Follow the link on the left to 'Forums' in the 'Members' Section. These new forums seem to be working well. Come in and say hello :) I don't know if those dreaded weird 'A' characters are still with us. /em holds breath and hits 'submit' for this post... Seefar Aug 6, 2007 |

I'm not sure it will be possible to update the Hall of Fame correctly as the Guild grows. Because of the risk of me missing a ding (after all, I may not be present at the time) I think it best to ask that those receiving a MentorDing who wish to be included in the Hall of Fame post a notice of the event in the MentorDing thread in the Public Forum. I won't apologise for the weird 'ÃÂ' characters currently appearing on this site. There is a way to get rid of them but it's a right royal PITA to do it... I don't like producing messy work but there are only so many hours in the day - I'll go back and fix them when the problem 'goes away', as so many do, given time. Patience, what a wonderful notion :) Seefar Mar 9, 2007 |
